Khairy Amr, Jordan’s minister for investment, called on the Irish private sector on Tuesday to make use of the opportunities available in Jordan. Jordan is a gateway to regional markets for its strategic location and the number of free trade agreements it has signed, which have made Jordanian products reach over 1.5 billion consumers, stated Amr during a meeting organized by the Jordan-Ireland Business Association (JIBA).

The Jordanian Minister urges Irish businesses to invest in JordanAmr said the ministry hopes Irish businessmen will join the Jordanian market in the meeting attended by Irish ambassador Vincent O’Neill. The Ministry of Investment is ready to help Irish companies. This is because there are a number of promising and competitive sectors that Irish investors are interested in, such as information technology, health, agriculture, and service. Jordanian exports to Ireland and Europe have increased significantly since Jordanian and Irish private sector meetings and visits were held.
